Chris, thanks for the great answer to my question. Too often, I find that watch “reviews” don’t add much more than what was in the watch release articles (and those are probably just based on press releases). I’m usually left wanting more. If one talks about the case thickness (especially if it’s “too thick”), give us a picture of the side of the watch. If we get a wrist shot, tell us the size of the wrist. I know there’s no substitute for trying on a watch, and I wait to do that if it’s an expensive watch (at least to me), but sometimes I have to travel to another US state or country to try one on. Having some additional information allows me to possibly add to my short list of watches to see in real life. Anyway, thanks again. I enjoy reading your articles.
To paraphrase and translate Warren Buffett, it’s far better to buy a wonderful watch at a fair price than a fair watch at a wonderful price.
Although what makes a wonderful watch varies by collector, I suspect most geezer watches will end in the latter category post-mortem
So, I just read Issue 39 on watch reviews. Excellent points!
Thanks!

For those interested in the moonphase facial expression ranking (as I was) it's in issue 48: https://chrisjameshall.substack.com/p/the-fourth-wheel-issue-48
